Helen Lileck, 100, passed away peacefully at home in Annville, Pennsylvania, surrounded by her loving family on November 20, 2024.
Helen was born on January 23, 1924, in Tuscarora, Pennsylvania. She was the second youngest of five beloved daughters born of Peter Meravage (Mielowicz) and Anna Bonk (Bak). She is preceded in death by her loving husband, George Lileck, her parents, and her four sisters: Stella Plocinik, Mary Fitzsimmons, Ann Davies, and Blanche Walko Lombardi.
She graduated from Tamaqua High School where she met her high school sweetheart and husband, George Lileck. She and George resided in Allentown for many years, and both worked at Western Electric from where she eventually retired to raise her family. The two shared 54 wonderful years of marriage before his passing. Together, they built a life centered on family and shared adventures. She resided in Allentown until April 2020, when she moved to Annville to live with her daughter.
She is survived by her son, Peter (Alison) of Fleetwood, PA; her daughter, Janice (Michael) of Annville, PA; and her cherished grandchildren, Summer Arnold of Las Cruces, NM, and George Hollick of Annville, PA.
Helen was a woman of many interests. She took great pride in her role as a homemaker, where she was an exceptional cook and caregiver, and was talented with crewel embroidery and crochet. She also loved to travel, exploring most of the 50 states and enjoying numerous trips to Europe.
She lived a long and fulfilling life, remaining in good health and bright spirits until her passing. She leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories that her family and friends will forever hold close to their hearts.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 10-11 with a Service at 11AM all in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. Entombment to follow in Grandview Cemetery, Allentown. At Helen’s request please refrain from wearing black to her funeral as she would like her life to be celebrated.

Sharon M. Lee, 76, of Bath, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024. She was the loving wife of the late Wayne “Mitchell” Lee who passed away in 2004. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Marie (Adams) Haytmanek. Sharon graduated from Allentown Central Catholic class of 1965. She had retired from Bell Atlantic as a telephone operator. Sharon was a member of the Red Hat Society, an avid reader, enjoyed watching NCIS, crocheted and was “crafty.” She will be deeply missed.
Survivors: son- James Lee and companion Selena; daughter- Rachel Leh and husband James; grandchildren- Madeline, Alyssa, Joseph, Kaitlyn, Mason, Selena, Alaina, Zachary; sisters- Maryann Haytmanek, Judy Flynn and husband James; nieces & nephews- Lisa and husband Eric, Randy and wife Dana, Scott, Nick and wife Jamie, Tracy Flynn, Kevin Flynn and wife Adriane.

Renata Len, 68, of Bethlehem, passed away March 2, 2024. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Katharina (Ruhl) Len. Renata spent the past 11 years being cared for by Life Path and attended their day programs. She especially enjoyed listening to music while she was there. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors: sister-in-law- Connie Len, niece- Kristine Len, nephew- Daniel Len and many aunts, uncles and cousins in both Ukraine and Germany. She was predeceased by her brother- Nicholas Len.
A viewing will be held Monday, March 11th 1-2PM in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. Burial will be Private for the family.

Erwin “Herb” H. LaBar, 89, of Nazareth, passed away January 10, 2024. He was the loving husband of 50 years to Karen C. (Micolochick) LaBar. Born in Freemansburg, he was the son of the late William Henry and Anna (Neith) LaBar. Herb retired from Bethlehem Steel after 42 years of service, then continued to work for Health Network for 5 years. He was a member of Edgeboro Moravian Church, the MORA Club, Freemansburg Softball league, and enjoyed golfing. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors: wife- Karen LaBar; children- Todd LaBar and his wife Isabella, Alan LaBar and his wife Ann Marie, Bonnie “Bonita” Boger and her husband Gary; grandchildren- Alexis, Alexander and Michele wife of Paul Wieand; great grandson- Cole. He was predeceased by his siblings- Marion, Kenny, Helen, Jim, Robert and Morris.

A Service for the family will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Kohut Funeral Home, Inc.

Eva F. (Slavish) Lazor, 98, of Hamburg, formerly of Slatington, died at home surrounded by her loving family and felines on January 3, 2024. Born in Nazareth, she was the daughter of Alex and Tatiana (Hruschok) Slavish. Eva was predeceased by her husband, John Lazor, to whom she was married for more than 54 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

Eva often showed her love with crocheted afghans, home-cooked meals and baked goods, and by sharing the bounty of her garden. She will always be remembered and deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughters Gloria Phillips (Gerry) of Louisville, CO and Kathleen Spess (John) of Hamburg; her daughter-in-law, Mary Lazor of Frederick, MD; grandchildren, Benjamin Baker and Cora Weiland (Robert); great-grandchildren, Ezra and Maeve Weiland; many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Eva was predeceased by her son, Michael S. Lazor, her granddaughter, Sarah Lazor, and her seven siblings, Alex, Peter, Anna, Mary, Fannie, Tessie, and Catherine.

A viewing will be held 10-11AM with service at 11AM on Monday, January 8th in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front St. Allentown, PA. Burial to follow in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church Cemetery.

Joseph “Juny” G. Lehman, 86, of Whitehall, passed away May 7, 2023. He was the loving husband of 64 years to Adele G. (Lazar) Lehman. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Joseph R. and Helen (Madura) Lehman. He graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School and then received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from LaSalle University. Joe served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He worked as a manager for Schneider Manufacturing and then Royal Manufacturing before opening JoDell Manufacturing. Joe was a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church where he played the organ at Mass for many years. He was a talented musician, playing the organ and the accordion and started the Sportsmen Orchestra. Joe participated in the church’s softball team and bowling league and he enjoyed coaching his son’s baseball team. He also loved his ethnic foods. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors: wife- Adele Lehman; children- Lisa and husband John Strouth, Joseph A. and wife Katherine, John A. and wife Alicia, Jacinta and husband Edward Hudak; grandchildren- Nicholas, Gabrielle, Christopher, Joseph L., Sarah, Abigail, Alexandra, Anthony John, Anthony Joseph, Emma; great grandchildren- Adele and Harper.
A Calling Time will be held on Saturday, May 13th 9-11AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11AM all in St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church 924 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Kohut Funeral Home, Inc.

Michelle L. Lysykanycz, 54, of Allentown, passed away November 12, 2022. She was the loving wife of 25 years to Boris M. Lysykanycz. Born in Victorville, CA she was the daughter of Richard Kerrick and the late Debra (Dunsavage) Kerrick. Michelle graduated from St. Lukes School of Nursing. She worked as an RN for many years and then in Pharmaceutical Sales for Bristol Meyers and then for Bayer. Michelle was a member of Jordan UCC. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors: husband- Boris Lysykanycz, father- Richard Kerrick, daughter- Courtney Lysykanycz, brother- Richard Kerrick.

Phyllis F. (Kloiber) Lauer, 85, of Whitehall, passed away May 29, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late Ronald J. Lauer, to whom she was married for 67 years at the time of his passing in December 2018. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Florence Kloiber. She retired from Durkee’s after 34 years of service. Phyllis enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo and above all spending time with her children.
Survivors: children- Ronald H. Lauer of Whitehall, Jane Yenser and husband Robert of Allentown, Karen Langan and husband Joseph of Allentown, Joann Sheckler and husband David of Whitehall, Sharon Lauer of Whitehall, Alan Lauer and wife Penny of Whitehall; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister- Carol Geroulo and husband Marty of Whitehall; beloved cat- Dewey.
