Teresa L. (Michalik) Neupauer, 97, of Whitehall, passed away February 18, 2025 in her home. She was the loving wife of the late William Neupauer. Born in Summit Hill, she was the daughter of the late John “Jan” and Victoria “Wiktorja” (Lukasik) Michalik. She worked for Western Electric and then for Nina Sportswear before her retirement. She was a devote member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church, where she participated in their Auxiliary and choir. Teresa was an avid Phillies, Duke and Notre Dame fan. Teresa enjoyed baking, bird watching and loved pugs. She was very proud of her Polish heritage and enjoyed cooking traditional food and even spoke fluent Polish. In her own words, “Most of all she adored being Babcia to her 4 grandchildren Danielle, Erin, Joseph and Madeline and Ciocia to her nieces and nephews.”
Survivors: son- Robert husband of Suzanne of Allentown, daughter- Teresa Ann Rasbold wife of Ronald of Whitehall, grandchildren- Danielle Neupauer-Russo wife of Jonathan Russo, Erin Neupauer, Joseph Rasbold and Madeline Rasbold. She was predeceased by her siblings- Emeric Michalik, Mary Krutsick, Irene Michalik, Victoria Michalik, Elizabeth Porambo.

Antoinette Nero
Antoinette Nero, 101 1/2 of Cementon, passed away 8/16/23. Wife of the late Fred Nero and daughter of the late Frank and Florence Genovese. She was a long time sewing machine operator for JJ&F. Big Gram loved reading on the side porch while Big Pop listened to the Yankee game on his radio. She loved watching her favorite sports on TV and traveling to Florida for Yankee spring training. She loved vacations in Wildwood with her grandsons. Gram loved playing the organ and singing with family. Her music will surely play in our hearts forever. Big Gram always loved when we all came over for Sunday Dinner. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors: grandchildren, Gino and wife Bridget DeLucia, Dino and Fred DeLucia; great grandchildren- Angelica and husband Noah Grube, Kayla DeLucia and wife Amanda, and James DeLucia; great great grandchildren Blaire and Landon Grube; son in law Joseph DeLucia. She was predeceased by her daughters Donna DeLucia and Faye Nero as well as her siblings- Florence, Minnie, Josephine, Jim and Mike. Services will be private for the family, care of Kohut Funeral Home Inc.
Chester Nechetsky
Chester Paul Nechetsky, 95, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023. Chester was born on May 11, 1927, to Boleslaw Nieciecki and Mary (Eloni) Nieciecki in Audenried, Pennsylvania.
Chester retired from Bonney Forge after 25 years of service. He had various other jobs throughout the years. Chester served as a committee member for the Republican Party and a board member for the Northend Republican Club.
In 1952, he married Dolores (Kmetz) Nechetsky (deceased in 1990) and went on to have eight children, Robert, Richard, David (deceased in 1995), Ronald, Raymond, and Michael; daughters Linda and Barbara; 7 grandchildren; Eva Nicole Lucas, Heather Feist, Raymond Nechetsky, Jr., Andrew Nechetsky, Zoey Nechetsky, Callie Nechetsky, and Randy Lucas; 4 great-grandchildren; Alyssa Thurman, Carter Feist, Arlo Nechetsky, and Alistair Nechetsky.
Chester was predeceased by his sisters Helen Ciglar, and Genevieve Kopec, and brothers Henry and Stanley. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 27th, 10-11 AM, with a Service to follow at 11 AM in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. Interment will be private for the family on Saturday, April 29th at 10 AM.
Rosalie Najpauer
Rosalie V. (Mikulcik) Najpauer, 90, of Allentown, passed away December 30, 2020 in Holy Family Manor. She was the loving wife of the late Edward Najpauer. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Hermina (Fredrick) Mikulcik. She had worked as a seamstress for Phoenix Clothing and Modern Clothing for many years. She then worked for Lehigh University in Food Services. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church and previously of the SOKOLS. Rosalie had been a gymnast, enjoyed swimming, sewing and loved flowers.
Survivors: sons- Edward of Danielsville, Joseph and wife Linda of Allentown; daughters- Donna and husband John Carl of Zionsville, Karen and husband Patrick Flanley of Zionsville, Monica and husband Stephen West of Allentown; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother- Paul Mikulcik of Cementon. She was predeceased by brothers- Emmanuel, Alfred, Stanley and Joseph and sisters- Hermina and Pauline.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 6th at 10AM in St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church 924 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Kohut Funeral Home, Inc.

Joseph Novak
Joseph Samuel Novak, 80 of Allentown PA passed away peacefully on February 27, 2020.
He was the loving husband of Margaret Mary (Sniscak) Novak for 53 years. He was the son of the late Joseph James and Helen (Gerber) Novak.
He was a Specialist 4th class in the Army. He worked at Fuller Company, which later became F.L. Schmidt. When he retired, he became a parts delivery driver for NAPA Auto Parts of Allentown. He was a member of Saint John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church. He was an avid reader and loved doing math, logic puzzles, shuffleboard, puzzles and games. His greatest joy in life was his grandson, who always made him so proud.
Survivors: Wife Margaret, daughter – Diane and husband Keith Campbell of Arizona, grandson – Nolan, brothers – Daniel and Linda Novak of Tamaqua, Charles Novak of Tuscarora, and Sister – Karen and husband Fritz Radcliff of Allentown. He was predeceased by his brother Thomas, husband of Barbara of Allentown.
A calling time will be held on Sunday, March 8th 6-8PM and Monday, March 9th 9-10AM in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc., 950 N. Front Street, Allentown, PA 18102. Mass will follow Monday at 10:30AM in Saint John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church, 924 N. Front Street, Allentown, PA 18102.
After mass he will be cremated and transported to Arizona for interment.

Elmer N. Nemeth
Elmer N. Nemeth, 72, of Allentown, passed away January 3, 2019. He was the loving husband of 51 years to Carol Ann (Grazer) Nemeth. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Dennis and Julia (Nagy) Nemeth. Elmer graduated from Liberty High School in 1964, attended Penn State University and served in the U.S. Army in Munich, Germany during the Vietnam War. Elmer retired as an Engineering Design Technician for PP&L Electric after 37 years of service. He was an avid Science Fiction fan and his passion was riding motorcycles. He had belonged to the former Yamaha Venture Club.
Survivors: wife- Carol Ann Nemeth; son- Jason F. Nemeth of Springfield, VA; brothers- Zoltan Nemeth of Danielsville and William Nemeth of Lehighton. He was predeceased by his son- Clark A. Nemeth.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 10th 10AM-12PM with a Service at 12PM in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102.

Robert Neubauer
Robert C. Neubauer of Whitehall fell asleep in the Lord on July 6, 2018. He was the loving husband of Helen K. Neubauer for 68 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late J. Rudolph and May (Smith) Neubauer.
Robert was a graduate of Allentown High School where he participated in the band and the Canary Cavaliers Swing Band. After graduating, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the troop transport General Tasker H. Bliss AP151, in both the Atlantic and Pacific theatres of war. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
He was a graduate of Muhlenberg College, class of 1950, attaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in History and English with a special interest in Secondary Education. He then graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Masters Degree in Education. His post- Masters Degree in Education continued with work at New York University which qualified him for a Secondary School Principal’s Certificate and a Supervising Principal’s Certificate. He also took graduate studies at Kutztown University.
He began his teaching career in Penns Grove, NJ and continued in his profession as a teacher of Social Studies and English in the Northampton Junior High School. He was the Principal of the Northampton Junior High School from 1975 to 1985, retiring after a total of 36 years in the field of Secondary Education.
Robert worked part time as a Tour Director for the Thomas Cook and Sons, Tour Operators 1956 through 1975. He directed tour groups through the National Parks and major cities west of Chicago, Canada and the Canadian Rockies, Hawaii, and his true love, Alaska.
After his retirement from the Education profession, he was an outside Travel Agent for the Travel Team in Allentown. He then joined the Group Travel Department of AAA East Penn and worked as a Tour Director and Marketing presenter for 20 years. He retired from his second career in 2010. While with AAA, his main expertise was Alaska through which he directed tours on numerous trips to the Great Land. He also conducted tours to China, Central and Eastern Europe, Austria, Germany, the British Isles, Ireland, and various locations in Europe as well as the United States. He worked numerous cruises to the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, the Danube River, the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea. Included in his work at AAA, he pioneered and taught Driver Improvement Programs.
Besides his love of traveling, he enjoyed reading History-based novels, many magazines, and the daily newspaper. Robert was musician and played the trumpet and vibraphone for 25 years with various groups.
Robert was a faithful member of St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church and a member of the Parish Council. He was active in the church’s senior social organization.
Robert was a life member of the Pennsylvania and National Secondary School Principals Associations, the Allentown Chapter of the Muhlenberg Alumni Association, the Allentown Art Museum, the Lehigh County Heritage Museum, the Northampton Area Historical Society, Lehigh County Active Life Center an AARP. Robert was also a member of the Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Friends of Nursing, a member of the Network’s 1899 Society, the Leonard Pool Society and a member of the Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Board of Associates.
Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Helen, his niece Joanne Romanell and her husband, Lawrence, nieces and nephews of New Market and Frederick, MD and brother-in-law Stephen Kohut. He was predeceased by sisters Thelma and Ruth and brother-in-laws George Koder, John and Joseph Kohut.
Services: Funeral Services will be celebrated at St Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church 1031 Fullerton Ave Allentown at 10:30AM on Saturday, July 14th. A viewing will be held preceding services at 9AM in the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Helen Novak
Helen S. (Simon) Novak, 90, of Allentown, passed away December 4, 2016. She was the loving wife of 42 years to the late John J. Novak. Born in Sharon, PA she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Agnes (Varga) Simon. Helen retired as a layout operator from the former Western Electric after 34 years of service. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church and the Telephone Pioneers Club. Helen enjoyed sewing, gardening, leather crafting and working with flowers.
Survivors: Daughter- Kathleen Slusaw and husband Gregory; Grandchildren- Daniel and Rachel Slusaw. She was predeceased by her brother- Alexander Simon.
