Kathryn A. (Hoch) Talianek, 87, of New Tripoli, passed away March 15, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late Florian “Mark” Talianek. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Nighan) Hoch. Kathryn was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She retired from Toys “R” Us in Whitehall. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors: children- Dr. Mary Anne Wright and husband David of New Tripoli, Michael Talianek of Allentown, Christopher Talianek and wife Tina of North Whitehall, Patricia MacKenzie and husband Richard of Allentown; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers- Charles and Joseph Hoch; sister- Patricia O’Donnell. She was predeceased by her children- Marcella and Mark David, granddaughter- Jamie, and her brother- George.
Private services will be arranged at the convenience of the family by the Kohut Funeral Home, Inc.

Bruce Tagg
Bruce Anthony Tagg 67, {aka Tagliaboschi} of Schnecksville, Pa. was welcomed into the loving arms of his Savior on Monday October 10, 2022; after a long battle with cancer. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. Bruce was born in Perth Amboy New Jersey to the late Anthony Tagg (Tagliaboschi) and Jeanne Tagg nee Sorensen and spent his formative years in Metuchen, NJ. He and his wife Sandra have resided in Pennsylvania for the past 35 years. In 1972, he met the love of his life Sandra, and they wed in 1976, going on to have a son Justin. Bruce was a Sunday School teacher for adults, college students as well as leading a small group and home Bible Study group. While he was an ordained Minister of the Gospel, it was God's plan for him to work in a secular job. He has been employed in the insurance industry for over 35 years, most recently as a teacher and trainer. Bruce is survived by his loving wife Sandra Tagg; a son Justin Tagg and a daughter in law Britt Tagg. He is also survived by a brother David Tagg & wife Kim Tagg; niece Megan Tello & Great Niece Sam. In addition, he is survived by an Uncle, Aunt and multiple cousins. Services will be handled by the Kohut Funeral Home of Allentown, Pa. Viewing will be on Thursday October 20, 2022, at Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 am at the church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Trexlertown, Pa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cedar Crest Deacons Benevolent Fund or Second Harvest Food Bank.
John Tobias
John J. Tobias Jr. 93, of Allentown passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 5, 2022. He was the husband of the late Mary A. (Kraftician) Tobias. Born in Allentown, John was a son of the late John J. Sr. and Ann (Byrne) Tobias. Jack was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Allentown. Jack loved spending time with his family and was very good with electrical work. He enjoyed fishing and occasionally going to the casino. Surviving are his nephews: William Boyko husband of Laura and their children William & Heather. Dr. David Bigatel husband of Levelle. Sister: Mary Boyko. Sister-in-law: Mildred "Millie" Bigatel. Jack was predeceased by his nephew John Boyko husband of Connie Boyko and her children John & Eric. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday October 11, 2022 at 10:00AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church. Calling will be from 9:00-9:45AM in the vestibule. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Kohut Funeral Home.
Anthony Tagg
Anthony Louis Tagg, 91, of Allentown, passed away January 7, 2021. He was the loving husband of the late Jeanne M. (Sorenson) Tagg. Born in Metuchen, NJ he was the son of the late Louis and Margaret (Branca) Tagliaboschi. He served in the U.S. Army during Korea. Tony retired as an Engineer for Exxon Mobil. Tony was of the Catholic faith. He was a lifetime member of Clinton First Aid Squad. Tony was very active in Boy Scouts for over 50 years and received the Silver Beaver award.
Survivors: sons- Bruce Tagg and wife Sandi, David Tagg and wife Kim; grandchildren- Justin, Megan and Britt; great granddaughter- Samantha; brother-in-law- Harry and wife Doreen; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings- Alfred Tagliaboschi and Gloria Aglitz.
Services will be held at a later date care of Kohut Funeral Home, Inc.
Nicholas Tomasini
Nicholas Tomasini, 92, Korean War Veteran and Bronze Star Recipient of the 7th Division Corps of Army Engineers, died peacefully on January 5th, 2021 with his loved ones surrounding him at his bedside. He is survived by his spouse, Marina, son John, daughter Nora and husband Todd Miller and grandchildren Ryan and Emily Miller and his sister Domenica Biribin.
A resident of Allentown, PA and previously of Sparta, NJ, he has lived in Allentown since 1999. Nicholas was a Star Athlete for Emerson High School in Union City, NJ excelling in three sports among them being basketball, football and baseball and was inducted in the school’s Hall of Fame.
Nicholas began his career as a factory worker for Maxwell House in Hoboken, NJ and retired with the company in 1988.
A Calling time will be held Saturday, January 9th 9:30-10:30AM with a Service to follow at 10:30AM in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front Allentown, PA 18102. Burial will be Private at a later date.

Joseph Trinkle, Sr.
Joseph C. Trinkle Sr., 87, of Allentown, PA passed away peacefully on October 20th, 2019 at Mon Valley Care Center in Monongahela, PA surrounded by his daughter Joan and two of his grandchildren, Sarah and Makensie. Joseph was born in Allentown and was the son of the late Joseph and Johanna Trinkle. He was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, class of 1949. After high school, he went to work for Queen City Poultry. He was the owner and operator of Trinkle’s Meat Market in South Bethlehem with his late wife, Dolores (Harsch) Trinkle from 1960-1983; when he retired. Following retirement, he went to work for Schwerman Trucking, driving a cement truck. This was one of Joe’s dream jobs. Joseph was a member of Saint John the Baptist Church of Allentown, where he was a lector, Eucharistic minister, and a volunteer groundskeeper. Also, a member of Saint John the Baptist in Whitehall. Joe was also an avid skier and tennis player.
Survivors, daughters Diane, wife of George T. Cramsey of Allentown, Joan, wife of Dr. John Holets of Monongahela, and son, Joseph Jr., wife Susan, of Allentown. Two step-sons, Jerome, wife Linda and Joseph, wife Carol. Grandchildren, Sarah, Nicholas, Molly, Joshua, Cassandra, Makensie, and Mercedes. Step-Grandchildren, Jason and Dana. Great- Grandchildren, Emmy, Salome, Anna, and Lina. Proceeding in death is his second wife, Josephine Trinkle, and sister, Sister Helen Trinkle, of Sisters of the Holy Redeemer in Huntingdon Valley, PA.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 26th 10:30AM- 12:15PM in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1PM on Saturday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 924 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Allentown.

Stephanie Truchan
Stephanie H. (Drinka) Truchan, 89, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2019 in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Fountain Hill. She was the loving wife of 59 years to the late Michael Truchan. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Catherine (Gach) Drinka. Stephanie was a member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, their choir, and ladies auxiliary. Alongside her husband, she was also a former member of the Perth Amboy Volunteer Fire Co. in their Ladies Auxiliary. Her kind and loving heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Survivors: son, Michael and his wife, Kay Truchan; granddaughters, Mary-Rebecca and Jennifer Truchan; sister, Catherine DeWorth; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister- Elizabeth Jankovich.
A viewing will be held Monday, May 6th 7-9PM with a Parastas at 8:30PM in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc. 950 N. Front St. Allentown, PA 18102. A viewing will be held Tuesday, May 7th 9-10AM with a Service at 10AM in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church 1031 Fullerton Ave Allentown, PA 18102. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.

Stella Toth
Stella Toth, 94, passed away April 4, 2019 at Fellowship Terrace, Whitehall. She was the widow of Joseph Toth, who died in 2005. Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Evaschuk) Boshko. Stella was a member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Allentown, St. Mary’s Ladies Auxiliary and St. Mary’s Seniors. She was also a member of Air Force Mothers of the Lehigh Valley and a volunteer for Sacred Heart Hospital.
Survivors: Daughter, Joanne and her husband Ken Hutcheson of Peoria, AZ; Son, Thomas Toth of Whitehall, PA; Grandsons, Kurt Shotzberger and his partner Heather Carroll of Las Vegas, NV and Sean Shotzberger of Scottsdale, AZ. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by brothers, Stephen and Michael Boshko and sisters, Olga Boshko, Ann Budinetz, Mary Penchishen and Jennie Krause.
The family would like to thank the staff at Fellowship Community, Compassionate Care Hospice and a special friend Denise Keiper for their tender loving care.
